Easter Monday 5th April - Saturday 10th April

The Story of St. Jerome's

St. Jerome's History

For nearly 800 years, St. Jerome's Church has witnessed events both small and great as it served the community. It saw the village through the Black Death, the Reformation and the Civil War.  St Jerome’s has stood there overlooking the estuary providing a sense of permanency to the people of Llangwm who have come and gone over the centuries.

During Easter week, there will be an exhibition of the history of the church and the De La Roche family who built it in the 13th century. So why not spend some time discovering the window where local Lepers could take communion, learn about the De La Roche family and their influence on the local community.  Come along and marvel at the story of the earlier years of our village.

The exhibition is being mounted jointly by Parishioners and the Llangwm Local History Society.
