The Llangwm Scarecrows
The Llangwm Scarcrow competition is linked directly to the Llangwm Festival and has run for 10 years. Below are just a few of the scarcrows that were on display this year.
The winners:
ADULT 1ST PRIZE - Jordan in her Pete free garden by Sarah Hall of Gail Rise.
ADULT 2ND PRIZE - Dennis & Gnasher by Mandie Davies of Glan Hafan.
ADULT 3RD PRIZE - Soil Mates by Graham & Joan Stephens of Llangwm Ferry
CHILDREN'S 1ST PRIZE - The Wizard of Oz by Ebony Walker.
CHILDREN'S 2ND PRIZE - The Rev Jane and her Little Flock by Llangwm School
CHILDREN'S THIRD PRIZE - George and Peppa Pig by Ethan & Kieran Pender.
This Year's Giant Scarecrow
Buzz Lightyear was this year's giant scarecrow and was built by Andrew and Shirley Mathias of Glan Havan. The weather delayed his arrival at the festival, but he made it all the same. Buzz is constructed of fibreglass and timber and is over 7 metres high.
